Fast Track Program Offers New Three-Year Degree Option

Sacred Heart University is introducing a new fast-track program that allows undergraduate students to earn a bachelor’s degree in one of 12 accredited programs in three years. Students who enroll save time and money, allowing them to get a head start on their careers or complete an additional graduate degree in the time it usually takes to finish a traditional four-year bachelor’s program. Fast Track programs are now offered through the College of Arts & Sciences in: biology, biochemistry, chemistry, communications, criminal justice, global studies, neuroscience, political science, psychology, psychology with a social work minor, sociology and sociology with a social work minor.

Sacred Heart University observed Constitution Day with two distinguished guest lecturers Sept. 17 and 20. Carol Platt Liebau, president of the Yankee Institute for Public Policy, kicked off the week with a lecture Sept. 17 about the first amendment. Peter T. Zarella, retired Connecticut Supreme Court associate justice, discussed the roles of judges and branches of government at his lecture later in the week.
